Well to answer all of the questions for the newcomers to a wonderful thing we all know as Key Club, no we do not make keys, sorry. Key club is not your typical high school club because it goes from middle school (Builders Club), to high school (Key Club), to college (Circle K), and it can follow you your entire life if you choose to become a Kiwawnis Member like our Kiwanis Advisor Ms. Lum. People hear that this club looks great on college applications. Guess what? It does! What looks even better is when you are an Active Member and gain loads of community service hours and also a position as a Board Member. In this club you do not just sit around for a little under an hour bored, while listening to people speak, what you do is plan for service events, prepare for Fall Rally South and RTC 2013, fundraise for PTP and Project ELIMINATE, there is a ton of things we do in key club. Wouldn't it be awesome if you said you had friends from all over the States and maybe even from another country? Key club is an international organization that is so vast that it has to have names for each area. We are part of the Cal-Nev-Ha District, our district includes California, Nevada, and Hawaii. The Bee is our district mascot. The district is divided up into Regions so that it is easier for clubs to meet without having to travel far far away from home. Our Region is Region 5 and we are the Zombie Penguins! So what is D38 West? D stands for Division. We are Division 38 West, we have our sister Division 38 East who are part of our Region. D38 West has the joy to say we have the Owl as our mascot! As our District is, our Region is also divided up into Divisions. This all makes it easier to keep track of all the clubs and communicate more easily. So that's the jist of key club. There's a ton more so stick around at the meetings, make new friends and ask away on here using the comment box on the Contacts page. Thank you for reading, I hope this was useful to you.
